This letter is written by three mothers. Different in age, professions, unlike experiences of life… Thanks to God, we have healthy children, secure jobs, true friends and even husbands, who take care of us J. To be honest, these are all we need to be happy and live peacefully and … not to get into Your heart with this letter.

However, we, photo artist Egle Melinauskiene, journalist Ruta Mikelkeviciute and television show presenter Laima Kybartiene established charity and financial support fund ”Mothers Union”. The main objective of the fund is to provide help to children who suffer from cancer and their families: fulfill children’s dreams (some of them are, unfortunately, the last), help parents get professional psychological assistance; find the necessary information about the treatment and rehabilitation. It is also necessary to establish comfortable environment for the sick children as well as cooperation links with medical staff.

We established “Mothers Union” for several reasons: the state is not able to take care of our children and families the way every mother would require; one of us has already suffered from cancer and knows perfectly well, the challenge is enormous enough for a child; we have children and want to know – in case something happened – all our children are to receive the best possible.     It is said easier give then ask?.. A mother is never ashamed to ask or beg…
